What is Laminate?
Laminate flooring is a synthetic wood alternative. It is created using a composition of HDF board ( high density fibre ) and glue, a wood image is then heat pressed onto the board and finished with a clear hard wearing coating.

Are they hard wearing?
Laminates are structurally very durable and more scratch resistant than real wood floors.
Can they be used with underfloor heating?
Yes, laminates are suitable with underfloor heating when used with a suitable underlay.
Are laminates suitable for wheelchairs?
Yes, a laminate with a grade of AC4 or Class 32 is able to withstand the weight of a wheelchair.
What goes underneath laminates?
Laminates should be fit with an underlay. Each underlay carries its own set of unique benefits for a particular area.
Can I fit it on my existing wooden floor or tiles?
Yes, however a laminate would need to be fit at 90 degrees to an existing wooden floor and tiles would need to be flat.
Can I use a steam mop on my Laminate?
Never, ever. Steam mops push moisture into laminate and real wood floors and will cause swelling down the line.
