Standard Engineered Plank

Engineered Matte Oak 125mm is designed with stability in mind. Created with birch plywood and a veneer of solid wood, engineered floors are less likely to warp and react to seasonal change than traditional solid floors.
Our standard plank range home our 125 – 150 mm wide boards.

Veneer

The solid wood top layer on engineered floors generally ranges from 3-6 mm in thickness. A thicker top layer will allow the floor to be sanded more times thus increasing the floors lifespan. Generally when a floor is sanded it will remove 0.5 to 1 mm of wood.

Plywood

The plywood provides structural stability in your floor making expansion and contraction in the boards less intense and much more controlled. Due to its stability, engineered floors can be installed using any and all methods of fitting including glue down, nailed and floated.
